Where to use?

Where NOT to use?
🔹Hallways: Cats spend very little of their time in hallways, so the efficacy would be weaker.(Except if the hallway is the area where scratching or cat spraying is happening most often). Near the litter box: Cats spend very little of their time near their litter box, so the efficacy would be weaker. (If the litter box is in the same room where your cat spends most of their time this is not a problem).If conflict between cats occurs frequently in a hallway, distribution of your cat's’ resources should also be considered within the home to ensure each cat has an easy and free access to a litter box, food and water bowl, resting area, without being potentially blocked by another cat.
When NOT to use?
🔹If your cat has no access to a clean litter tray, they will urinate in your home, and FELIWAY Optimum will not help in this scenario.
🔹If your cat has no access to a scratching post, they will scratch objects in your home instead (because scratching is an essential need of cats), and FELIWAY Optimum will not help.
🔹If your cat is urinating, hiding or eating less for medical reasons, FELIWAY Optimum will not help. It is important to consult a veterinarian to rule out any potential medical issues.
🔹FELIWAY Optimum will not help in cases of tension or aggression towards owners. In such situations, we recommend consulting your veterinarian or a behaviourist.
🔹If your cats do not have access to an individual food/water bowl and litter box, competition for resources remains and the tension between your cats will continue.
Where should I plug the diffuser?
In an electric socket with a minimum clear distance above the diffuser of 1.20m. The oily vapour that carries the FELIWAY Optimum serenity messages rises in a column of warm air above the diffuser.
Plug into its own power outlet. Use only in properly functioning 230 - 240V electrical sockets.
Where NOT to plug in the diffuser?
Diffusion will be blocked if the diffuser is plugged in: behind a door, underneath furniture, in any socket without 1.20m clear above it. In a multi-plug or multi-socket adapter. With an international adaptor. With an extension lead.
