Expert opinion in pharmacy
Chronic kidney disease (CRF) is a pathology that unfortunately affects more and more cats and dogs.
Chronic renal failure or CRF is a progressive disease over a fairly long period (months or even years). Whatever the causes, chronic kidney disease is irreversible. However, even if kidney parts are lost permanently, the comfort and life expectancy of dogs and cats can be improved with supportive treatment. Chronic renal failure remains much more common in cats than in dogs. The average age at diagnosis is 7 years.
