Description

Distilled and demineralized water have a pH below 6, while CATWATER ensures cats have a perfect pH balance between 6.2 and 6.4. Additionally, the water used in softened and distilled water often comes from municipal treatment plants and contains all the chemicals used in these plants, such as chlorine. The method commonly used in demineralization is reverse osmosis, a type of filtration that exposes the water to bacterial contamination. What's more, the filtration process doesn't completely demineralize the water—some minerals are always left behind.
